What is the difference between a Development Plan, Master Plan, and Village Map?

A Development Plan (DP) — often called a Master Plan — is a long-term land-use plan for a city or planning region. It shows zoning (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.) and reservations. A Village Map (gaon nakasha) shows survey-number boundaries within a revenue village. MapMagician serves both layer types where available.

Are these Development Plan maps official?

Yes — DP, Master Plan, and Village maps are sourced from the publishing authorities (PMRDA, NAINA, HMDA, BBMP, MCGM, MSRDC, individual municipal corporations, and state town planning departments). MapMagician georeferences these documents and serves them as map tiles for online viewing.

Can I measure distance and area on the maps?

Yes. The viewer includes built-in distance and area measurement tools. You can also use the survey overlay feature to verify boundaries against satellite imagery.
